Sew your own shoes! Saturday 19th August
Date: Saturday 19th August
Time: 10am - 1pm
Learn to make your own summer shoes on this fun sewing workshop. Craft your own pair of Espadrilles - they are a really simple project, sewing experience is a bonus but we are here to show you how to do it if you have little or none, you will be amazed by what you can achieve!
You will sew and finish one shoe in the workshop, and take home the materials and skills to finish the other at home.
Suitable for beginners - sewing knowledge isn't necessarily required. Please bring a piece of fabric: 40cm x 55cm is plenty for 1 pair of shoes. Avoid embellished fabrics, a linen or cotton works well as does a lighter weight denim. Get in touch if you need assistance, and Fisherton Mill has a fabric shop on site!
All tools and equipment are provided. We will get in touch to get your shoe size when you book on. Tea and Cake also supplied to help the stitching along!
