Stamp Making and Fabric Printing - Saturday 9th September
DATE: Saturday 9th September
TIME: 10am - 1pm
This workshop is the perfect introduction to printmaking. Kirsty Cross from local company Paper and Smiles will be introducing you to the craft of stamp carving using soft rubber and lino cutting tools. You can then use your stamp to create your own unique printed tote bag or tea towel with fabric paints. The stamps you create can be used for anything you feel like printing - wrapping paper, cards or fabric and Kirsty will be on hand to provide expert tuition and creative support!
All materials and tools are provided as well as tea/coffee and cake! You will be using fabric paints so and apron is recommended.
Kirsty is a self taught printmaker who enjoys experimenting with different types of block printing, mixed media work and letterpress printing. All of her work is produced from my little home studio, in a little hamlet on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire. I use mainly lino or block prints which are designed, carved and then hand-printed by myself. The Paper and Smiles range includes a unique collection of hand-printed cards, prints, textiles and gifts and Kirsty also takes commissions!
