Here at The Make Arcade we love supporting other small independent businesses and happy to support ‘community over competition’. Indie Biz of the month is here to showcase another small creative business each month so we hope you enjoy reading about Cloud Craft, an online treasure trove of modern embroidery supplies and kits for those who love making!
Cloud Craft was set up 7 years ago by Nicole Twena. She started with a small stock of 100% wool felt and an Etsy shop and has now expanded Cloud Craft into its own website www.cloudcraft.co.uk, which stocks (among other things) lots of threads, fabrics and tools for hand stitching, as well as a range of gorgeous kits from indie designers.
Like many small businesses, the idea for Cloud Craft was borne of a need for a better work life balance and a yearning for a more creative career path. Happily, the creativity is definitely flowing over on Instagram where Cloud Craft enjoys a worldwide audience of over 16k followers!
