Workshop Terms + Conditions

WORKSHOP CANCELLATIONS
In exceptional circumstances, we may unfortunately have to cancel a Workshop. we don't like doing this but If that does occur, we will give you as much prior notice as possible and will refund your booking fee or see if we can accommodate you on an alternative date if you prefer. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any liability for travel or other costs.

WHERE ARE THE WORKSHOPS HELD?

we hold our workshops at our studio in the courtyard of the beautiful Fisherton Mill in Salisbury. Here is their website for directions www.fishertonmill.co.uk

I'M A COMPLETE SEWING NOVICE - WHAT SHOULD I BOOK?

Our Learn To Sew workshops will be perfect for you! they are for absolute beginners who want to leave feeling confident using a sewing machine. We focus on simple projects that are easy to try again! Our craft workshops are suitable for all abilities and the tutors are always on hand to help.

ARE THE WORKSHOPS SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?

Our workshops are for adults - but children under 16 can be accompanied by a full paying adult or they could join one of our workshops that run in holidays - see the workshops page for details.

WILL THESE WORKSHOPS BE RUNNING OUTSIDE OF SALISBURY?

We are often invited to host workshops in other establishments, educational and craft centres. We like to travel! Our workshops can also be booked as parties - minimum numbers apply but we are very flexible with what can you do, just get in touch!

WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE FOR A WORKSHOP?

If you think you’re going to be late, please let us know as soon as you can by emailing us (we'll check emails before the class) or giving us a ring on the number we provide in your booking email. We'll start the class on time and catch you up as best we can later on. Please do try to be on time though!

CAN I CANCEL MY WORKSHOP BOOKING?

We know that things come up, so if you need to cancel up to two weeks before the date of the workshop, we will offer you the choice of transferring onto another class, or a refund minus a 10% admin fee. Its not fair on people who would have liked a place on the workshop who we may have had to turn away, so we’re afraid that we can’t offer refunds or transfers on places cancelled with less than two weeks’ notice or if you don’t turn up to the class on the day.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE WORKSHOP?

In most cases fabric is provided and we also provide all sewing machines and sewing equipment needed. If you would like to bring your own sewing machine please let us know when you book so that we can check out the model etc online. You can bring your own fabric and we can advise what will be best for the project. If the workshop is all day and spans over a lunchtime you will need to bring your lunch or get it from the Fisherton Mill cafe. We will give you some tea/coffee/biscuits/cake to help the sewing along and send you home with a goodie bag. Ultimately we want to provide you with a few hours in a fun and relaxed atmosphere that will leave you, hopefully, wanting to sew more!

HOW ACCESSIBLE ARE THE WORKSHOP SPACES

Our studio is in the courtyard with one step up to the studio. There is no parking at Fisherton Mill but the closest parking is Salisbury Railway Station or the Central Car Park.

DO YOU DO PRIVATE EVENTS?

Yes, we love to come to you or a venue of your choice. We have a selection of ideas in our 'Party' section to provide some inspiration. Just get in touch!
